Call for Paper: Geophysical Technologies and their Applications in Carbonate Reservoir (GTACR)

The exploration and production of carbonate reservoir are the great challenge due to the complex geological conditions, strong heterogeneity, and various reservoir types. Along with the developments on geological theory, rock physics, forward modeling, fracture prediction and hydrocarbon detection technology, the seismic exploration technologies and their applications in carbonate reservoir have made a lot of progress in recent years.

This special issue invites original research articles as well as comprehensive review articles addressing new developments in rock physics, seismic physical modeling and numerical modeling, multi-wave and multi-components seismic exploration, reservoir prediction as well as other advances of unconventional petroleum resource exploration methods and their applications.

Potential topics of this special issue mainly include, but are not limited to:

  • All submitted papers must be clearly written in excellent English and contain only original work, which has not been published by or is currently under review for any other journals. All papers will be peer-reviewed according to the reviewing policy of AGER. This is virtual special issue, in which all accepted papers will be published immediately. Requests for additional information should be addressed to the guest editors.
